ARK Accessibility Services is built by and for people with disabilities. Accessibility is not a feature we added — it is the reason we exist.
Standards
We are committed to meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA across all surfaces: web, iOS app, Android app, and admin dashboard.
What we've implemented
Web and admin - Full keyboard navigation - ARIA roles, labels, and live regions throughout - Colour contrast ratio ≥ 4.5:1 for text, ≥ 3:1 for large text and UI components - No colour-only signalling - Focus visible on all interactive elements - Logical heading hierarchy - Skip-to-content link - Responsive layout with no horizontal scroll at 320px - Supports Windows High Contrast mode
Mobile apps (iOS + Android) - Full VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android) support with descriptive labels on every element - Minimum 44pt (iOS) / 48dp (Android) touch targets throughout - Dynamic type / font scaling supported - High-contrast and dark themes available - No colour-only indicators — all status conveyed in text and/or haptics - Haptic feedback on state changes - Status updates announced to screen readers via accessibility announcements
Vehicles - All vehicles must be wheelchair-accessible (WAV) or accessibility-equipped - Zero accessibility surcharge
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas under active improvement: - Street View entrance panel currently has limited screen reader description of the scene - PDF receipts are not yet fully tagged for screen readers — plain-text receipts are available on request

Third-party content
Some content is served via third-party services (Google Maps, Stripe). We work with these providers to ensure accessible integration but cannot guarantee the accessibility of their internal interfaces.

ARK is committed to compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Accessible Canada Act, and applicable provincial accessibility standards.
