Accessible vehicle types

  • Wheelchair-accessible van (ramp)

    Low-floor van with a side or rear ramp and 4-point securement — fits most manual and power wheelchairs.

  • Wheelchair-accessible van (lift)

    Powered lift for heavier power chairs and scooters, with extra headroom and securement.

  • Adapted sedan

    Comfortable sedan with transfer assistance for ambulatory riders who don’t travel seated in their wheelchair.

Funding & subsidy

AISH recipients in Alberta may have eligible non-emergency medical transport covered; direct insurer billing through ARK is coming soon.
